Thank you for your question or observation! We collect all submissions, sort them, develop them into research topics and then release them for voting so that we can decide together in the community which questions will be further investigated. We invite everyone to participate in the voting and also to collaborate in the following steps as we address research questions and move forward together towards a publication to create new knowledge.

What is the Roadkill Project about? Roads criss-cross our landscape and pose a danger to many animals. Thousands of vertebrates die on Austria's roads every year, but accurate data on most species is lacking. In the Roadkill Project, we collaborate with citizens to record where and which animals are killed on the roads. This will help us to better understand why these accidents occur and develop long-term measures to protect both animals and humans. Citizen science means your observations are needed! Every report helps, whether it's about a hedgehog, a toad or a deer. Join in and become part of the research!
